ALNUS glutinosa
Common alder
Largely conical tree with dark green leaves. At the end of Winter it produces big quantities of weeping gold yellow catkins. Fast grower. It prefers humid and fertile soils. It suffers under direct U.V.rays on the stem. We recommend to protect the trunk.
