CATALPA bignonioides

A deciduous, spreading tree with largely ovate leaves up to 25 cm long, ranging from purple to light-green. Its white flowers, streaked with yellow on the inside, are gathered in large, upright panicles up to 30 cm in length, and give way to pendulous pods in autumn.
