ELAEAGNUS angustifolia
Russian olive
A small deciduous spreading thorny tree. Its branches, covered with brown, reddish-coloured bark, are smooth. It has lanceolate leaves, similar to those of willow, and measure up to 10 cm long. The upper part is green while the underside is silvery-coloured.
