SKIMMIA japonica ‘Rubella’
A small, upright, evergreen shrub whose alternate, oval-to-obovate, tough, rigid, shiny leaves of a dark-green colour have thin, deep pinkish-red edges. During winter it produces panicules of small reddish-purple, button-like flowers which, during March and April change into whitish-yellow, male flowers.
