Description

A deciduous tree whose bark, like that found on plane trees, exfoliates on reaching maturity. Its ovate, green leaves turn yellowish-orange and reddish-purple in autumn. It produces corymbs of tiny, red flowers at the beginning of spring before the leaves appear.
