BUTIA capitata

Description

A slow-growing palm with a robust trunk, which is often found with a number of new, leafy shoots at its base. Its greyish-green, greatly-curved leaves with hints of blue are up to 2 m in length. It produces panicles of yellow flowers measuring up to 1,5 m in length.
