CORYLUS colurna

Description

A large, regularly-shaped, conical, deciduous tree with amply oval, darkgreen leaves up to 12 cm in length which turn yellow in autumn. At the end of winter it produces pendulous, yellow catkins 8 to 10 cm in length. Its highly-decorative bark is rugose, regularly scored and smooth.
