FEIJOA sellowiana

An evergreen shrub with oblong, elliptical, greyish-green leaves between 5 and 7 cm in length with silvery undersides that feel woolly to the touch. Half-way through the summer it produces reddish-purple flowers, measuring up to 3-4 cm in width, with long, red stamens which are pinkishwhite along the edges and on the undersides.
