SOPHORA japonica ‘Pendula’

Description

Normally presented as a grafting to a tree or sapling, this variety is particularly decorative because of its long, pendulous branches which, from the point of grafting, are generally capable of reaching the ground. The leaves are dark-green in colour and similar to those of the standard variety. Flowering takes place in summer by means of cascading panicles of yellowish-white flowers.
