SOPHORA japonica

Description

A spreading, deciduous tree with pennate leaves, 25 cm in length, made up of from 15 to 20 ovate-to-lanceolate, shiny, dark-green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. From the end of summer it produces terminal panicles, up to 30 cm long, of small, butterfly-shaped, white flowers.
