BETULA jacquemontii

Description

A medium-sized, deciduous tree whose young branches, which range between brown and bright-brown in colour, later take on the characteristic pure white colour, forming a bark that peels off in thin sheets starting in the 3rd or 4th year. Its dark-green leaves turn yellow in autumn.
