FOTHERGILLA major

Description

An upright, deciduous shrub with obovate-to-rounded, alternate, darkgreen leaves with serrated edges up to 10 cm in length. A very attractive autumnal yellowish-orange colouration. At the beginning of summer, before the leaves appear, terminal, upright, white spikes of flowers up to 5 cm in length are produced.
