TILIA platyphyllos

Description

A largely columnar tree, whose rounded-to-largely ovate, dark-green leaves which are of a lighter shade on the underside, turn yellow in autumn. It produces intensely fragrant, yellow flowers in June and July and is, perhaps, the most fragrant of its species. It has young brown-reddish branches. Very hardy variety. It fits very well in altitude sites. Protect the trunk from U.V. rays. Suitable for alignments.
